Queer Solace is a portrait photography ongoing project that features any queer person in the regional area of Bowling Green, KY (including Nashville & Louisville/Lexington area) and across the state of Kentucky who would like to have their portrait taken in a place that exemplifies safety for them in their community.

you will choose a location that is a place that you feel safe. this is where we will take your portraits! this portrait session is free of charge (artist/gas tips very appreciated but not required) to any queer person in these geographic areas. no modeling experience is required. your safe location will not be listed or shared online or anywhere associated with the project unless you would prefer it to be!

the goal of this project is to remind myself, other queer folks, and non-queer folks that in the midst of exterior intolerance, our existences persist gloriously. we never asked for their permission to exist because we don’t need it. and most importantly, we know best how to carve out safe places for ourselves and hold this safety for our community, too.
